This issue is really similar to the U.S's problem, which is gender inequality. Just like the U.S, Southern Europe is suffering from gender inequality issues, such as domestic violence against women, employment rates for women compared to men’s job rates, and their pay rates are 16% lower than men’s pay rates, which half of the people living in Southern Europe thinks is unfair.
Education is an issue in Southern Europe, the education in the region in a few countries is very poor. In the graph on the right, it shows the amount of people who graduated from high school in 2011-2012, most of the countries are perfectly fine, but 4 countries are nowhere close to good. Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal all of have really low graduation rates compared to the other countries in that region, and
Another issue Southern Europe is having is the immigration from neighboring countries, such as Syria, Pakistan, and Africa, which are fleeing to Southern Europe due to their own issues in their countries. Since they are fleeing to Southern Europe they make more issues for the countries in Southern Europe by making the population overpopulated.
